Zion Lutheran 2010 Summer Classes
Purpose: To provide five weeks of academic refreshing, reviewing,
and solidifying of the major concepts learned during the past school year in order to retain content
and/or improve study skills for the next school year.
Structure: Each class will have a maximum of five students for optimal individual
instruction. Classes will be organized according to subject matter and grade level just completed.
Schedule:
Tuesday, June 15 through Thursday, July 15
50-minute class meets daily on T-W-Th
Class starts at 8:00 AM and finishes no later than 1:00PM
A 10-minute break between classes
No credit for absences or vacation time
Subject Areas: for the grade level just completed
Reading Kindergarten through 3rd grade
Math Kindergarten through 8th grade
Study Skills (organization, note-taking, test-taking)
4th through 8th grade
Advanced 6th through 8th
(for those who took 6/7/8 SS last summer)
Cost:
Same rate as the last three years
One class $225 ($15 per class period)
Second class for same child $210 ($15 discount)
10% discount for each additional child enrolled from the same family
One class $202.50 Second class $189
$150.00 Day Care credit if a child is enrolled in two classes (based on $5.00/hour drop-in rate)

Teachers will be selected from Zion’s faculty.
