Zion Lutheran School Technology

At Zion Lutheran School, we believe that technology is a gift from God for his people to use wisely. With this in mind, it is our goal to prepare our students for a world full of technology. We strive to help our students learn to use computers as tools to make their daily lives more productive. The majority of our technology instruction is integrated into classroom subjects (math, science, social studies, language arts). This approach helps reinforce and further explore concepts presented in students’ classrooms. Our technology objectives include:

  • Computer Literacy
    • Computer ethics
    • Proper hardware and software care
    • Operating system
    • Keyboarding
  • Information access
    • Navigation
    • Internet safety
    • Internet research
  • Project based learning
    • Using Microsoft Office tools
    • Educational software and websites
    • Computer graphics
    • Digital stories

Computer use is a privilege for students at Zion and computers must be used in a God pleasing manner. This privilege is maintained by complying with the computer use guidelines in the Acceptable Use Policy. Each student is required to review these guidelines with their parents and keep a signed agreement on file at the school.
